The choir’s job is to lead and enhance the worship of the whole congregation during the church services. They do this by leading the singing of the hymns and other sung parts of the service, and also by singing an anthem most weeks. The choir sings at the 11:00am Sunday service, and at the many other special services held throughout the year such as at Christmas.
Our organ dates from 1883, and was rebuilt by Nicholsons of Malvern in 1969 and Nicholson & Co still maintain it to this day. It is one of the finest ‘village’ organs in the district and our superb organist, David Noon, has recorded a CD of the most loved hymns and organ music that can be purchased by contacting Julie on 01568 708255 or kingslandchurchoffice@gmail.com.
We practice once a week on Thursday evening from 7:15pm until 8:15pm after which we normally adjourn to one of the village’s excellent hostelries!
